Cedarwood Oil

What Is It?
Our natural cedarwood essential oil is extracted from the wood of the juniper tree (Juniperus mexicana).
Why Do We Use It?

Cedarwood oil repels and kills scent-driven insects, such as mosquitos, fleas, and ticks. These insects, as well as many others, need the pheromone octopamine to maintain necessary life functions (respiration, metabolism, reproduction, movement, etc.) the cedarwood oil blocks the octopamine receptors causing the insects to die. Fortunately, beneficial insects like bees and butterflies are not affected. The oil from cedarwood also alters insect pH balance, breaks down the fat that insects need to survive, and causes insects to dry out through a process called osmotic dehydration.

Citronella Oil

What Is It?
Citronella oil derived from hardy grasses (Cymbopogon nardus).
Why Do We Use It?
A familiar insect control solution in many households. Citronella oil works to repel scent-driven insects by masking the scents that are attractive to insects. Combined, both ingredients work against pests in your yard and garden giving you peace of mind when spending time outside!
Plant-derived Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

Derived from natural sources like coconut and palm kernel oil, our all-natural sodium lauryl sulfate is a surfactant that helps mix oil and water in our solution.

Deionized Water

Water without its ions, it has no charge. As the universal solvent, it dissolves substances in our solution.
